Peloponnese: three hotels worth your attention

The coastline of the Peloponnese is not always the first place that comes to mind when planning a trip to Greece. Yet this peninsula offers a perfect blend of history, natural beauty, and genuine Greek hospitality. And of course, there are hotels you’ll want to recommend to others after staying. Here are three that made a lasting impression on us.

A small and stylish boutique hotel on the western coast of the peninsula, with just twelve rooms — some with semi-private pools. Our room was on the second floor, with a balcony overlooking the pool, the sea, and a watermelon field. We enjoyed the large shared pool, which was almost always empty, making it feel as if it was ours alone.

A short walk through a small pine forest leads to the sea, where private sunbeds await hotel guests. The overall atmosphere, combined with the staff’s care, creates a feeling of intimacy and true hospitality.

A family-run hotel on the eastern coast of the peninsula, with views over the Argolic Gulf, near the small town of Kiveri. This cozy retreat was created by travelers Jacek and Sylwia, who made it their home.

Here you fall in love with every detail: thoughtful design, an infinity pool with a sea view, lavender and spice bushes in the garden, a private descent to a rocky cove, or a breakfast made with local products. Particularly valuable were the hosts’ recommendations of places to explore nearby.
