Entering Parfum, Sculpture de l’Invisible feels like stepping into the creative mind of Francis Kurkdjian. Presented at the Palais de Tokyo, this retrospective celebrates three decades of his artistic journey, redefining perfume as sculpture, installation, and experience.

The exhibition unfolds like a walk through Kurkdjian’s imagination. Each space opens a new sensory chapter: visitors are invited to move through clouds of scent, to breathe in textures of metal, silk, or porcelain, and to feel the physical presence of fragrance. Some installations reinterpret his most emblematic creations — Baccarat Rouge 540, L’Homme à la Rose, Amyris — while others explore more conceptual themes, such as L’Odeur de l’Argent, an olfactory and visual meditation on the smell of money. Between rooms, films and interviews reveal the conversations behind the works, allowing visitors to hear the artists and collaborators discuss their creative process.

What makes the experience remarkable is its balance between intimacy and spectacle — a world where perfume becomes movement, texture, and story. Parfum, Sculpture de l’Invisible transforms that philosophy into space, inviting visitors to slow down, to breathe, and to rediscover what fragrance can mean when it is experienced rather than simply worn.
