Entering Parfum, Sculpture de l’Invisible feels like stepping into the creative mind of Francis Kurkdjian. Shown at the Palais de Tokyo, the exhibition celebrates three decades of his work and redefines perfume as sculpture, installation, and experience.

Each room reveals a new facet of Kurkdjian’s imagination. Visitors move through clouds of scent, breathe in textures of metal, silk, and porcelain, and sense the physical presence of fragrance. Some installations revisit his iconic creations — Baccarat Rouge 540, L’Homme à la Rose, Amyris — while others explore more abstract themes, such as L’Odeur de l’Argent, a meditation on the scent of money.

Films and interviews woven throughout the space share insights from the artists and collaborators, adding voice and reflection to each creation.

The result is an experience both intimate and spectacular — a world where perfume becomes movement, texture, and story. Parfum, Sculpture de l’Invisible invites visitors to pause, to breathe, and to rediscover fragrance as something to be lived, not merely worn.
