The fragrance world is shifting: new voices, new markets, and fresh creative visions are challenging established norms. This season in Paris, a showroom dedicated to Korean perfumery highlighted a new wave of independent brands entering the international scene.
What united them was the way each house built a narrative around its creations. Bienbiang transforms ancient legends and natural elements into fragrances; BLNDRGRPHY plays with cocktail-inspired blends; mimicri evokes memories and materials; SW19 captures fleeting moments shaped by the passage of time; while odt. blends French heritage with Korean modernity to craft an olfactory narrative.
Design reinforced the message: minimalist bottles, tactile finishes, and visual cues rooted in Korean aesthetics. More than products, these scents were presented as stories — fragments of identity and emotion, shared through fragrance.
